The upcoming 9th annual Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel “Courage in Motion” (CiM) bike ride celebrates and recognizes the significant contribution made by the more than 51,000 men and women who have been wounded while defending the State of Israel.
CiM 2016 will take place October 30-November 3 in Israel. Cyclists will ride 50-120 kilometres per day alongside Israel’s disabled war veterans and victims of terror. Each international rider must pay a registration fee (before June 1: $1,200 for past riders, $1,250 for new riders and $1,100 for volunteers; from June 1: $1,350 for all riders and $1,100 for volunteers). Each international rider also must raise a minimum of $2,500.00. They are also responsible for their own air fare and accommodation outside of the ride dates.
Beit Halochem Centres in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Nahariya and Beer Sheva ensure that the injured and their families receive the help they need and deserve in order to return to productive and fulfilling lives.
Funds raised during Courage in Motion primarily finance rehabilitative biking programs at Beit Halochem Centres, in addition to physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, therapeutic devices, specialized equipment, sport coaching and cultural activities.
